South Texas Underground Film is pleased to announce the 11 more documentary short films selected to the 2015 STUFF Film Festival taking place this November 30 - December 6, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

 

‘Sound Piece’ – Directed by Ted Fisher/Justin Hazlett – USA/2:30 mins

 

We think of a public art work as a visual object, meant for the eye. But what happens when viewers find other ways to play with the art?

 

 ‘GRAFSTRACT: The Bronx Street Art Renaissance’ – Directed by Dan Perez – USA/17:21mins

 

By enlisting the help of some of the world's top street artists, J. "SinXero" Beltran has made it his mission to legally beautify the Bronx, the birthplace of graffiti, through his TAG Public Arts Project (The Art of Grafstract).

 

 ‘Ruler of the Roost’ – Directed by Benjamin Turnbull – Canada/10:06 mins

 

Ruler of the Roost is a comedic documentary that follows a young Toronto filmmakers struggle with the obnoxious city pigeons that live outside his bedroom window. After his initial attempts to scare off the pigeons are foiled, the filmmaker seeks an expert's opinion and is soon led down a bizarre path of airborne diseases, grisly coincidences, and self-discovery.

 ‘Fading’ – Directed by  Alina Cyranek – Germany/4:11 mins

 

On April 18, 1945, when the German city of Leipzig was liberated from the Nazis by American Divisions, the photographer Robert Capa took several pictures in an apartment. The series was published in Life Magazine and became famously known as the „Last Man to Die“.
From Capa’s point of view and with original sounds, this film reconstructs the last minutes of U.S. soldier Raymond J. Bowman's life just before he was shot and subsequently photographed by Capa.
